Cookie policy

Last updated August 2026

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may only set non-essential cookies with your consent, which you give through the banner shown on your first visit.

What this site currently sets

At present makemyapp.uk sets no cookies at all — no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third-party embeds that place them. There is therefore nothing for you to consent to or opt out of, and no cookie banner.

The contact form’s spam check uses a short-lived signed token sent with the form itself. It is not stored on your device and is discarded as soon as the form is submitted.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, to keep the site available and secure. We also hold your IP address briefly to rate-limit contact form submissions. Neither involves cookies, and neither is used to profile you.

If that changes

If we later add analytics or advertising measurement, this page will be updated to list every cookie before it is set, and a consent banner will appear so non-essential cookies are only placed once you accept them. That is what the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require, and we would rather over-explain it than quietly switch it on.

Controlling cookies generally

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings. Doing so will not affect your ability to use this site.

More detail

Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data more broadly, including your rights and how to exercise them.
